What ActivateDigital is

ActivateDigital turns product evidence into governed product intelligence.

Product data on its own is not an answer. It is scattered, inconsistent and sometimes wrong. ActivateDigital runs an intelligence and decision engine over that evidence, works out what can actually be established and governs the result. Then it puts that result to work.

What happens between evidence and an answer.

ActivateDigital is not a database, a search tool or a document store. The ActivateDigital Intelligence Engine reads messy evidence, resolves it against other sources, applies governed rules, and decides what can legitimately be said about a product.

On AI

AI can propose. The engine has to prove.

ActivateDigital makes heavy use of AI, for interpretation, semantic reading and matching. What it does not do is let a model output stand as a product fact on its own. Every proposed value passes through matching, evidence rules, policy and a resolution decision before it enters the record. AI is a part of the system. It is not the whole system.

Semantic ingestion
Evidence arrives as fields, sentences, documents, identifiers and declarations. ActivateDigital reads each into structured observations, and keeps the original wording as the evidence.

Entity resolution and matching
The same product, company, facility or fibre is identified across sources, including where names are fuzzy or partial. A name is not treated as an identifier.

ActivateDigital Resolution Enginethe core
Evidence is compared across sources, conflicts are detected rather than hidden, and each value is given a resolution state. When two sources disagree, both are kept and the disagreement is surfaced.

Governed inference and policy
The ActivateDigital Policy Layer holds the regulatory and methodological rules. It decides what can be concluded, and what may only be offered. A builder never invents a value to fill a gap.

Deterministic derivation and modelling
Some values are calculated by reproducible arithmetic over established facts. Others come from recognised regulatory models, and carry the model and its version.

Provenance and decision state
Every value records its source, its method, its resolution state and the basis for the decision. The result is a governed product record you can question line by line.

Regulation and the policy layer

The Policy Layer turns each instrument into a product decision: a specific attribute, established from specific evidence, producing a specific output. Select an instrument to follow its path. Nothing here is legal advice, and a passport is not proof of compliance.

This register lists instruments ActivateDigital has researched, not every instrument that exists. Absence means we have not looked, and the engine says so, rather than inventing a duty or inventing the absence of one.

Modelling, assumptions and limits

Modelling. Some values are read directly. Others, such as carbon, water, durability and microfibre impact, come from recognised regulatory models over your declared inputs. ActivateDigital records the reply as given and pins the model version, because outputs are not stable across versions. A model is only as current as its inputs: if they move, the stored figure is withheld rather than adjusted.

What ActivateDigital assumes.

  • A composition is a percentage of fibre mass. Trims and interlinings are not in it.
  • A written statement counts as a label only when it is complete, and the record says which qualified.
  • Your own vocabulary is the authority. A term you list as a colour is not read as a fibre.
  • An answer you give beats a stored field, because it is later.

Where ActivateDigital stops.

  • It never invents an identifier, and never infers which markets you sell into.
  • It offers a commodity classification and checks it, but the declaration stays yours.
  • It does not advance a review date because an automated check found no change. Only a person's review does that.
